It’s no big secret that I’ve always wanted to be a Disney Channel star. Yes, I know how old I am. I’m well aware that ship has probably sailed, but that doesn’t mean I can’t make my own laser bumper commercial.
One of the biggest perks of becoming a Disney Channel star is knowing you get to immortalize yourself in a recording of you drawing the Mickey Mouse icon with a glowing stick. Well, if I can’t have my own official one — I might as well make my own, right?
I really love kinetic typography, and this was my first shot at it. Of course, I decided to take a Disney monologue. Dory’s monologue from Finding Nemo was the first on my list, and hopefully I have time to make more of these!
I was playing around with particle elements in Adobe After Effects and figured out how to make it look like water. My next thought, once I discovered this, was to make my own little World of Color show. You have no idea how ridiculous it was to record this video! Although awkward, it was fun once I had the final product.
